Much of the work I am most proud of is what I created at Sysdig, a cybersecurity agency. Sysdig's platform protects cloud-native applications at scale, and my role was to make those complex security concepts visually accessible. Through campaign creative, blog imagery, digital advertising, and branded content, I translated highly technical topics into engaging visual narratives that supported marketing initiatives across the customer journey.

When I joined Sysdig, the brand consisted of little more than a logo, two typefaces, and a limited color palette. I helped transform those basic assets into a comprehensive design system by defining typography standards, expanding and refining the color system, creating a custom icon library, and establishing visual guidelines that could scale across marketing, product, events, and digital experiences. The resulting brand framework gave teams a consistent, flexible foundation for communicating Sysdig's identity across every touchpoint.

I designed and maintained a library of hundreds of custom icons used across Sysdig's website, blogs, presentations, and marketing materials. Built to feel technical, scientific, and distinctly Sysdig, the system provided a consistent visual language for communicating complex cloud and security concepts while strengthening the overall brand identity.

Usage report: illustrations/ design system
Each year, Sysdig's annual report is built around a unique visual theme. For this edition, I developed a design system centered on symmetry, repetition, and structured graphic patterns that reinforced the report's data-driven narrative. The system extended across layouts, illustrations, and supporting visual assets to create a cohesive experience from cover to final page.
One of the project's key challenges was translating complex topics into compelling visuals. An especially challenging task was designing a graphic for a chapter focused on the "cloud-native battlefield". I developed illustrations inspired by battlefield concepts while carefully balancing the imagery to avoid political or military overtones. The result was a visual approach that supported the story without distracting from the content or alienating readers.

This gallery highlights the iterative process behind the report's most complex illustration. Working closely with my Creative Director, I explored multiple visual directions, incorporated feedback at each stage, and refined the concept to better align with the story and audience. The progression demonstrates how strategic critique, experimentation, and problem-solving shaped the final artwork.

As Sysdig's brand evolved, I created a custom illustration style for the company's technical blog content. Because the brand guidelines were still being defined, the visual language had to be developed in parallel—requiring months of exploration, testing, and refinement to establish a style that felt both distinctly Sysdig and flexible enough to support a wide range of topics.
The challenge was translating highly technical cybersecurity concepts into engaging visuals without relying on cliché imagery. Through close collaboration with writers, marketers, and creative leadership, I developed a scalable illustration system capable of supporting everything from cloud infrastructure and threat detection to emerging security trends, helping make complex subjects more approachable and visually compelling.

As Sysdig's content output grew, it became impractical for a single designer (myself) to create every blog graphic. To scale the process while maintaining visual consistency, I developed a comprehensive toolkit that enabled other designers to produce on-brand assets independently.
The toolkit included editable blog and social media templates, a library of approved backgrounds, icons, colors, and vector elements, example header designs, and detailed guidance for creating imagery (like prompting ai for image generation) in the established brand style. By documenting the system and packaging the necessary assets, I streamlined content production while ensuring the visual quality and consistency of the brand remained intact.
